This morning I finished 'Perfume' which is apparently very well known in France (I think it was originally written in German or Italian) and so could finally watch the movie, which was probably one of the best movies I have seen that was based on a book I have read, although it was a little creepy! Then I spent the rest of the day doing not much at all - wonderfully relaxing to have a bath and attempt to teach myself some more French!
When I picked Louis up from school he had a pink party blower, which was then constantly blown the whole way to Aurore's school and back to the bus stop (I couldn't even entice it out of his mouth with food!) We received many evil glares as we walked along the street, but I decided that I much preferred the sound of the blower to the tears if I attempted to take it away! I did successfully manage to get across why he had to not blow it while we were on the bus though! (My French is definitely improving!)
Aurore and Louis had made presents for Mother's Day on Sunday, so we stopped for some wrapping paper on the way home and then made cards (I helped Aurore write one in English - she was very proud!). Louis hid his present in a drawer in his bedroom, and in typical six year old fashion dragged Caroline upstairs the minute she walked in the door to show her the drawer that she was not allowed to open because her present was in there... and then couldn't stand the wait so gave it to her then anyway, very cute :)
Aurore loves listening to Lady Gaga and Katy Perry (and singing along when she thinks no one can hear her) which is the most adorable thing I have ever heard - she actually sings the chorus correctly in her very French accent - it is probably a good thing that she has no idea what she is singing though!
