Lucky we had a rest day yesterday as we needed all our energy today as we collected all our contents from the freight company and spent the entire day sorting through the hundreds of bags and boxes to work out what to keep, what to send back to Melbourne and what to throw out. Today we enjoyed playing tourist by visiting the Perth hills again. There was a festival in a winery region with food, music and wine tasting at several vineyards near Pickering Brook. We visited a couple of wineries and a cider place where I got to try a few ciders, including some with ginger and lemon. We shared a cheese platter and then drove to Mundaring to see the reservoir. Amazing to be waking up in our new house on wheels. Felt odd and exciting at the same time. We took our time this morning, enjoying the luxury of not having anything we had to do for a change. In the afternoon we drove to Kalamunda in the hills nearby and enjoyed a late lunch at a cute cafe. Very exciting to be picking up our new home today. We left Freo at around 9 to take the car to get airbags fitted in the rear of the car. This will help level out the car with the weight of the caravan, and hopefully prevent too much wear and tear on our rear tyres. Today Gadi left early to take the car to Ford to check on the problems with the aircon, and also visit the caravan yard to have the electrics fitted to the car. He also managed to fit in a much needed haircut and a massage, thanks to having the use of a loan car for a couple of hours.
