We were really hoping that today the report would be sent from the repairer to our insurer and we spent some time on the phone trying to get this to happen. But no luck.
First thing this morning Gadi took our car into Ford as it was booked in to check out some faults we've been having with the AWD locking. They have to order a part so it is now booked again for tomorrow.
We are both feeling very frustrated and helpless at the lack of progress and having to rely on one person (who we know is very busy and overloaded with work) to write the report.
So this afternoon, determined to at least try to enjoy this lovely town, we drove along the Great Ocean Drive, a stunning windy road that hugs the coast, taking you past stunning white beaches, an azure blue sea and amazing rock formations. Each cove seemed more gorgeous than the last. As per yesterday, it was a shame that we didn't have much sunshine to see the beaches at their best. We enjoyed the drive and Cadbury enjoyed frolicking on the beach.
Gadi drove past the repairer in the afternoon to see if there was any progress. It turns out that a very good friend of theirs was killed today driving along the Nullarbor on her own. I also heard news about grandparents who left Adelaide for a caravan holiday with their granddaughters and hit a truck near Port Augusta and all four in the car were killed. So sad and this really puts our own troubles into perspective.
Let's hope we have better luck tomorrow as the repairer has promised us to send it tomorrow morning.
Have a good night xx
