Hey ya'll! We started off with the threat of a thunderstorm in the direction in which we were going. I'm not very fond of lightning, so I was walking pretty fast while Clare chatted in Spanish with a nice guy from Madrid named Jorge, who, incidentally, we saw on our very first steps on The Way. He also ended up staying at the same Albergue as we did last night. That's something that's really cool about this walk--the same people/pilgrims come in and out of your day. There's a father/son combo from Holland that we keep seeing as well. Thankfully, the storm never materialized! We walked across hilly territory to our first big city, Pamplona, of "Running With the Bulls" fame. We enjoyed the old city, had a nice lunch, saw the Plaza del Toros (where Hemingway supposedly hung out), the walked 2 more miles to our destination for the night for a total of 21km today--we have a few aches and pains and weren't sure if there were open places to stay in the next 5 miles, so we called it a day in Cizur Menor. Currently getting ready to have some dinner!
