Runcorn is not actually that unpleasant. In the sunshine.
Last night we had a great meal with Mum and Dad and also Lucy and David Pulford joined us. Lucy is planning to so the cycle with her electric bicycle sometime. It was lovely to see them.
Today got off to a fine start with baked eggs, tomatoes and cream and a bit of porridge. Thanks again Mum!
Bicycle chains cleaned and oiled and then we journeyed through the quiet Shropshire countryside and on into Shrewsbury. Interesting facts: Charles Darwin was born here. Percy Thrower lived near here. The name Percy comes up as 'recycling' with predictive text. How appropriate.
Sat nav took us safely through the city centre and then north along minor roads to Bomere Heath, Loppington and then Hanmer. These tiny villages amidst dozens of patchwork fields make England seem BIG. The experience of travelling slowly by bicycle and seeing the changing landscape with all the open space around is truly exhilarating. England only seems small because we zoom up and down it on motorways. It is actually really BIG.
Through the course of today we left Shropshire, dipped into Wales for a bit then hit Cheshire...amazingly we stayed on little lanes until about 5 mins before our destination in Runcorn. Now sitting in the sunshine about 50m from the edge of the M56 looking at rabbits dicing with death.
Hope the sun is still shining for all those in Devon.
Tonight again being looked after by the kelly clan- Anne and Brian are kindly taking us to a quiet pub for supper.
A big thank you to all of you who are supporting us and also it is great to see continued sponsorship coming in. xxxTHANKYOUxxx

Stuart Newberry Bike chain cleaned. What's that all about? Sounds like you're really enjoying it. I can't believe the weather you're having! Keep up the blogs. They're getting better and better. I got a bit bored by the Wordsworth poem, I'm afraid :) Only a few days to Scotland. I'm very envious!
