Got up and said bye to Team Travel who were off on their 2 night Whitsundays sailing trip. Got showered then went for a walk and got some breakfast. Met with Vivi and Stihan and we did the costal walk which I had done to the Marina for my boat, then went on to walk to Coles the supermarket).... took us 50 mins! It was a hot day for it and we were pretty tired as we'd had to walk up a hill, but it was nice to be out and about and we saw some nice views of the marina. Decided I had to stop eating out so brought myself a load of stuff - not the right stuff though in hindsight as I spent $65! Reckon I cuold have got all I really needed for $15, but its a lesson learnt! Promised myself I wouldn't eat out until all the food I had was gone then we got the bus back into town. Said bye for the time beign to Vivi and Stihan and went to Nomads to sort out all my food. Felt good to have my own stuff! Called the camera shop in Hervey Bay about my broken camera which all was a bit of a kafuffle, but decided to wait till I got to Cairns as they have a Camera House branch there. I spent a while sorting ou my bag, chilled out and got changed before heading to Travel Bugs for a trial with Tom! He pretty much left me to it, I managed to get a fair few people in by tempting them with the free internet we offer (shouldnt really be our main reason to get them in!) and also had a few of the guys come in so i looked like I had done well. I did get a fair more randomers in too, even blagged talking to someone about all the Whitsundays sailing trips when Tom was busy. Tom seemed really happy and said he would definately recommend me to the boss, Bucko. So that was successful but again, very slow and very repetative! Finished at 4 and went on the computer for a bit then booked myself into nomads for 4 more nights. Made some toast, yum yum, then went online at the hostel to get on Moonpig. The computer at Travel Bugs is too slow for things like that! Got on, and Moonpig said it was under maintenance!! Not cool, luckily I remembered Funky Pidgeon and made Mike a really cool birthday card. Met Vivi and Stihan at Beaches and hung out with them while thye waited for their bus that evening. Was sad to see them leave! Went to the local little supermarket though and got a few last things to make my dinner, a burger in two bits of break with ketchup, woo! Felt pretty ashamed as I was next to 4 guys who were making a feast - very professional looking, I was impressed! Tasted better then McDonalds though and was cheaper and healthier for sure! Went back to my room which was empty apart from me! Thought that would be cool but it wasn't, felt so weird as I hav got so used to having other people around. The rooms are big and bare anyway and I felt so small, and cold! Wrote my blog on paper for a bit then read then slept, so at least i was able to have an early night! Shame I was so so freezing though as it kepy me up most the night.
