Got up, wasn't feeling too great after all the free drinks the night before! Got showered and drssed and helped Selda check out and take her bags down ro Peter Pans as she was storing her luggage there while she did here whitsunday's trip. While she was sorting out her luggage in Peter Pans i went on the computer for a bit. At 12 o'clock I couldn't see her,, so went ahead to McDonalds where we had arranged to meet Anne and Monika. Luckily Selda wasn't too far behind! We sat outside McDonlads (no, didnt buy anything!) and chatted for a while, the weather was awful which sucked as it would have been the perfect day for the 4 of us to chill out by the lagoon - stupid weather! Instead, we went to the supermarket and got some food then went to the kitchen at Base and all cooked our lunch. I had soup which was disgusting, wasn't till later i really it was condensed soup and i shuld have added water - no ownder it was gross! Was feeling a bit down as it was such bad weather and the girls wuld all be leaving that night - liked being with them! i typed up my blog on my iPod while the other girls were reading and generaly avoiding the rain! So gutted it wasn't sunny. Selda left to get her boat at 2, was sad to say bye to her! The others needed to go to Peter Pans so I went to Beaches Travel Shop and called mum!!! Found out it only costs 1c a min which is next to nothing!!! So that was so lovely to speak to her :-) Told her all about Whitsundays, couldn't help feeling a bit sad talking to her though. Can't decide whether to go home or not! At 5 I met back up with the girls - we had vouchers for a $3 didgareedoo lesson - was such a laugh!! Was in this little workshop, about 15 of us were doing it. We all got our didg and the guy went through the 5 steps. Picked up the basics quicker than i thought so was really proud of myself haha! As we started to have to add animal noises etc, it all went a bit wrong! Was really funnny though, and so good for $3. the lesson went on about half an hour then they were trying to sell us didgareedoos and other things in their shop. There were some lovely paintings but they were pretty expensive so had to pass. Me and Monkia arranged to meet Anne later and we looked in a few little shops then headed back to Base. I had a quick shower and got changed then we went to the Down Under Bar (the bar of Base) as we had vouchers for meals. Had a lovely meal and sat chatting, the bar was pretty much dead! But we got chatting to the few other people that were in there. At 8 Monika had to go to get he bus so said bye to her. Stayed with Anne and the other guy and girl we'd met, we were going to go but then they did this random raffle and gave away 10 nights at Base! There were only abouit 8 people in the bar so I thought my chances of winnning was too good to walk away from. Brought some more drinks as thats how you get raffle tickets then waited for the next draw. Was a lot longer than the 15 mins they said! Was gutted when i didn't win, but the prize was only a jug of beer that time! Waited for one last draw, didn't win again so it was definately time to leave. had been in there for about an hour just incase i won! Was glad to leave as it was freezing! Walked back to Anne's hostel where we chilled out in the TV room, the sofa was too comfy and within seconds i was fast asleep! Probably the best sleep I had had in a long time! Anne woke me up when she had to leave - I had been asleep an hour. Would loved to have stayed on that sofa but dragged myself up! Went and saw Anne off, again, sucked to be saying bye! Had agreed to meet the guy I had met at DUB at 11 and it was 11, but I just went back to my room in Base and fell straight to sleep. Slept so well - must have needed it!
