Got up and checked out of Base, such a shame I had to leave, was so nice! Went and dropped my luggage at Nomads then went to look round the shops! Was a lovely day :-) Tried on loads of stuff I really liked but managed to control myself and just got 1 skirt that was lovely and only $10. Was looking in one of the shops when I buped into Antonio. spoke to him about the dodgy iPod and he offered to buy it back off me - thought I could do with the money so did that... it wasnt working too well and never logged onto the wi-fi in McDonalds very well. Was better off with the money -especially as it is SO expensive out here! We went to look around the Saturday markets by the beach which was really nice, there were some cool little stalls but I didnt buy anything. Checked into my room when it was time, then got changed and unpacked and met back up with Antonio. We went to travel bugs, told Tom I was definatly interested in the job and he said the boss would be back on Tuesday so go in then. Went on the internet while I was in there then w headed to the lagoon! Sat on the grassy bank again and read my magazine and sunbathed, was sooo nice! Was nice to have sunshine too! Went for a swim which was lovely too, the water was pretty cold but it was refeshing! the lagoon is huge, stayed in there for ages. Then we went back to Nomads, said bye to Antonio and went and got showered and changed. There were 3 English girls in my room who were really nice, got chatting to them. They were doing the same as me, travelling up the East Coast. There was another girl but she had met a guy in Oz and gone to stay with him for a week in Melbourne. She was coming back the next day. They offered for me to go with them for dinner but I already said I would meet the Sydney guys so I said I would see them later :-) Went to the guys room and only Matt and Tayo were there, along with some really weird older guy called Ava. Felt a bit awkward so I went back to my room for a bit and chatted to the girls before they went to dinner, then got my goon and strolled back to Beaches to meet the guys. When I went back up the others were there - Mup Mup, James and Hans, 2 guys from Essex, Dexter and Dan and Bex, a girl from Sheffield that tayo had met at the lagoon. We both felt as though we had met before but never worked out where it was!! So frustrating! Played some drinking games in the room, including Ring of Fire! Made sure we didn't play international rules which was good as I was having to drink enough as it was!! so that was funny. We then went down the Beaches bar and drank in there, went back to Nomads, cant remember why, and decided to straighten my hair! Ended up burning my chest by holding the straighteners against it - not clever! Will lock them away before I go out drinking from now on :-p Went back to Beaches, cant remember how long I stayed there but i remember it was a good night!
