Got up early once again and had breakfast while we headed to our next destination. It was a bit clearer so i made sure I took in the view! It was cold but I knew I would snorkle whatever! We came to a little bay and the boat took us to where the coral was. About half of us were going snorkling. The water felt soo warm when I jumped in, was a pleasent suprise! Remembered that when I ahd gone snorkling in Egypt I had felt dizzy after, so made sure I told Will, just incase. A lovely German girl said she would stick with me which was so sweet. I felt fine though, and me and her ended up going further out than everyone else! the visability wasn't great and the water level was evry high but we still saw lots of fish! I didn't find Nemo, but there's still time! Was really cool snorkling, even when it started pouring again! Was better to be underwater and away from it! After 45 mins we (not so) gracefully got back into the little boat and went back to the Broomstick. Had a warm shower and put on all my warm clothes.... then found out we would be sailing again!! So, stripped off all my warm clothes, put on my wet bikini and yellow raincoat and headed outside. Have to be honest, I didn't really enjoy it too much this time. The excitement of sailing in the windy, rainy conditions had gone and we were all freezing and wet again! Couldn't see the islands so I shut my eyes and imagined a warmer place - managed to zone out and may even have drifted off! Sailed for a while then got to go back inside, phew! Got changed and packed our stuff away ready to leave the boat. the rain stopped just as we got into the marina and we got off the boat, saying goodbye to the crew and people we wouldnt see again (there were free drinks organzied for us at the Beaches bar that night to those who wanted them - yes please!). Picked up our leftover goon and walekd back to Airlie Beach. I walked with Anne - such a nice girl, was a shame she felt so poorly. Left Anne and made my way to Base where I had pre booked. Still had 3 nights on my Base jump card from NZ! COuldnt check in till 1, but went and picked up my luggage from Beaches and dropped it in the luggage room at Base. Grabbed my laundy and went to the laundrette next door. Chilled out and read my magazine while I waited and listened to the iPod I had brought from Antonio... he had found it on the floor somewhere and sold it to me for $50 which was really good as its an iPod touch. Found out later though that there was a dodgy connection witht he headphones and only one would work, but it still had good music and the apps. Once my laundry was done I went on the internet till i could check in. When I checked in, for some reason they gave me a free starter pack! Think its because they put me in a girls only room, but I hadnt paid extra for it! It came with a big fluffy towell, soap, conditioner and shampoo. Usually you have to pay for that so that was cool! When I got to my room it was sooo nice! Only 4 beds, really spacious, kitchen area, with a fridge, wardrobe, dresser, draws, big en suite and a bath! The hostel is really new and you can tell! The hostels have got cheaper and nicer as i have travelled up, they're more like resorts, no high rise cramped buildings. Base has a fairly big pool too, and we had a little seating warea outside our room. Was sorting out my laundy when another girl came in the room, Selda, who had been there a few nights. She was soo lovely and I chatted to her about travelling, Whitsunday's, and telling her how I was looking forward to chilling out for a few days! Just as I said that, i noticed my GHDs were missing! Started freaking out - Selda searched the room and i emptied out my bag - they were nowhere! I felt really sick. - thought there was no way I'd see them again. honestly felt like it wasn't happening, not after all my bad luck, but it was. Went and looked in the base luggage room incase i'd taken them out while i was getting my laundy. They weren't in there but I guessed if I'd left them someone would have picked them up swiftly! They weren't behind reception. Went to Beaches (Selda came with me, thank god she was there) and checked their luggage room, not there! My bag is broken and i thought someone might have nicked them. Was really upset, waiting while they checked lost property but knew they wouldn't be in there! I was desperate for them to check my old room, when they finally did, they were in there!! Had straightened my hair before getting on the boat and obviusly forgot to pack them. Was sooo angry at myself but so relieved that they were there. Calmed down and me and Selda walked back to Base. Still can't believe it! When I got back I knew i needed to chill out, so, after cleaning out the bath I filled it up, had music playing out of the dodgy phone i had been given in Hervey Bay, made my lovely new towell into a pillow and laid down, chilled out and finished my book. Then I had a shower, washed my hair and pampered myself. Chilled out chatting to Selda and repacked my bag - the contents had been thrown all over the floor!! Glad no one else had come in before I had time to tidy it away! Got changed and me and Selda went to mcDonalds to use the free wi-fi - Selda had a laptop and I could get Facebook on the iPod touch! so that was cool :-) Went back to Base and got ready for the evening then went down to Beaches at half 7 to meet the Broomstick crew! Over half of the people turned up which was cool, some had left for the next place already which was a shame. But i had the best evening! We had a table reserved so were sat there and got given loads of free hjugs of beer and wine. I managed to convince Selda to come out so she met us at 8. We all sat drinking and chatting, was good fun! There was an awesome guy playing guitar and singing on stage, he was really good. A random Canadian girl no one know had joined us at the table and she ran up and started singing on stage with the guy! Was really random! All our table were singing along to the guy and he heard me singing along to breakfast at Tiffanys and asked me to get on stage! I said no but the girls pushed me onto the stage! SO I sung with him to that which was good fun! Got myself off the stage swiftly after, then the guy took a break and it was time for one of the games of the nights. Most boats have their after party's at Beaches and they were doing games between the boats. The girls made me go up for our boat, there wre 6 different people playing, one from each boat, and i was the only girl! Had to play a game called fetch. The guy running it would shout out an object, like a pen or sunglasses and you had to get that item off someone fom the crowd - the last person to do so was out! I lost out when it was a pint of beer, so came 4th which wasn't great! Was a laugh though. Was such a good crowd in Beaches that night, everyone got up and was dancing. I was at the front and the guitar guy asked if i would sing again so I got on stage and we did Use Somebody - went so well! The guy was aweosme on guitat and everyone was singing along - i really really enjoyed it! When i got off stage loads of people came and spoke to me which was really cool - best way to meet new people! So glad i went up, think the goon helped me enjoy it! Did some more dancing then the girls pushed me onstage again so I did one last song - the guy asked if i knew I Love Rock and Roll which is one of my kareoke songs!! So we did that one and it was again, really good fun :-D Such a fun night, the guitar guy was getting everyone involved and the Canadian girl went back up to sing a few times too. After he finished playing the music started so we were all dancing then people started to leave. Me and a few of the other gils waited till Beaches shut at 12. I was up for going to Mama Africa's (the club) but the girls wanted to go to McDonalds so we sat in there chatting. It was absolutely pouring with rain so we stayed till the rain died down thn stared walking back. Arranged to meet Monika and Anne the next day and on the way back me and Selda bumped into some Irish guys we'd met earlier. Went for a drink with them in Paddy's Shenanigans, the Irish pub. They were crazy!! Bit weird haha. We stayed in there a while then got back to Base at 4am, and went to bed :-)
