Hi people,
Hope you are all good, had a good chat with Claire and Lorraine which was nice, cant believe little Lily is eating sandwiches, still think of her as a newborn and hard to believe she is almost 9 months.
Monday was last day with parents so Paul had the day off, he took us to Neilson park where he had worked the week before, there's a nice beach and we had some lunch before showing Paul Camp cove as he hadn't been before. Afterwards I had plans to go to the harbour for sunset but Scrooge Dad didn't want to go so we didn't. Had our last meal together at La Spiaggia in Coogee, was very nice and Mam was able to do her favourite task of choosing a bottle of wine from the bottle shop and taking it with her. Had ice cream on beach after. Got them to take lots of our stuff in their luggage which was quite surprising as Dad had initially refused to take anything. I sneaked the rest in!
Tuesday we drove to the airport for 0900, we had breakfast with them and talked them into buying a decent camera, was the one I wanted too, not fair! Stayed with them for an hour then I think mam wanted us to go so we went, was quite depressing. Their visit had made us quite homesick and made us think a lot about home, me more than Paul but even him! Would like all our adventures to be done now and for us to be home, not that I would come home before they are done,e are doing really cool stuff and this is once in a lifetime but I hope time goes quick now. Should do though as my friend Julie (from a&e Maidstone, now in Adelaide) is coming on Tuesday for just under a week. Then on Saturday Paul's oldies are coming for just over 2 weeks, that takes till beginning of June and then only have 8 weeks working. Also quite scary as haven't saved a penny for our travels!
Tuesday afternoon we went for a bike ride to Centennial park which is a huge park near us. There are bike lanes there and was really nice. Saw a lake full off black swans and a couple of pelicans. We then saw a tree fun off black cockatoos, hadn't seen one till this point so was very cool and got really close to them, they have yellow fluffy cheeks. Wasn't impressed that I had left my camera behind though! Also got lost in the park so ended up being out 2 hours instead of 30 mins.
The rest of the week was work every day for me, also have had a bite since Sunday night which has got worse every day for a week, very painful, red and messy so yesterday (Monday) finally gave in to showing one of the doctors at work and am now on antibiotics. 3RD lot between us this year which is not good going, Oz has some dodgy bugs, never ill at home, not properly anyway!
Did earlies both days on weekend and we didn't do anything except get a takeaway and a DVD but have just had 2 weeks of fun and have got another one coming so wasn't bothered.
Anyway that's all Julie comes tonight, thought it was tomorrow but she has just text to say she's on her way, good job I've done the cleaning. Am meant to be on an early tomorrow so don't know what am going to do about that! Hope you all have a good week
LOVE AND MISS YOU LOADS LAURA AND PAULXXXXX
