Tuesday 10th April

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a good Easter weekend and got fat on loads of chocolate. HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD 50TH BIRTHDAY MARY! Sorry we couldn’t be there but will make up for it when you get here on the 19th may. The last weekend has been a quiet one for us. I worked Mon to Sunday every day to make up for having the week before off, had spent all our money so wasn’t too bothered! Went to pub after work for a leaving do but couldn’t get drunk but made the effort. Friday afternoon we got train to Mag’s, were expecting to go out for dinner but when we got there it was a Barbie at theirs as the restaurants were closed for Good Friday! Had a nice night though and caught up as hadn’t been up there for a while and stayed the night. Mays/Eldridges, Jake is feeling much better after his operation and is back to his cheeky self. Saturday had a lazy morning and borrowed Johns Ute to go home and me to work, good job as it was pouring! Sunday Easter morning we ate some Easter eggs then had a walk through Bondi, then had fish and chips in Coogee before poor Laura going to work again. Was so quiet though, next to no patients in our part and just had a laugh, wasn’t even bored! Paul went up Mag’s for the afternoon and had a Easter roast with all the family playing Simpsons cluedo and PSP, he said he had a good time and lunch was lovely. Had Monday off work and went to The Sydney Australian Easter show. Its like the Kent county show but a lot bigger and Australian. It had loads of stalls full of Auzzie produce, a farmers section where there were lots of big huge cows going to auction ready to be eaten. There’s also a massive area with fairground type rides but a lot bigger and better than the usual. We went on the scariest ride that puts you up on a big 50m arm outwards and then drops you down, was satisfied that had done the scariest except a sling shot thing but it was £15 each and had done one before! Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were also there but didn’t see them. So that’s our week, this short journal is making up for last weeks 2 long ones from Melbourne!
