Bex served the bacon and eggs this morning, and I supplemented mine with another 2 slices of toast and peanut butter (going to have a repeat of India and make the most of free breakfast by trying to skip out lunch). After I finished cleaning (which me and roommate Jade finished way ahead of schedule) we then went to the camera shop to get me something to put my pictures onto the computer (the one we got in India doesn't fit XD cards), although they didn't have a recharger for my camera batteries.
We went to the lagoon, but just as we got there, Stacey from reef phoned Bex reminding her she needed to get some stuff for breakfast. Whilst she was gone, I spotted Amanda, Glen and roommate Stacey (as opposed to manager Stacey) with another girl called Laura. I had to quickly go back to the hostel to take in my washing when it started raining, and then Bex had to go to work anyway, so I decided to claim a free Hot Fudge Sundae from McDonalds (from the Monopoly game) which was delicious, and then have a walk to Jaycar- an electrical shop- to get a charger. I then decided I would try and find the shopping centre that is also on Mulgrave Road, but it's quite far out so ended up just going to the factory outlet store, and brought a small bag I can take out in the evenings, and also use as a replacement purse (I've been using the inside pocket of my bag at the moment). It was pretty much closing when I got there, but it seems like it's a good place to come for bargains. I think when the point finally comes when I buy new socks and underwear, I'll come back here. On the way back, I stopped off at an India store, where they were selling dosa mix, and I got a vegetarian thing that's got 54% protein in compared to 22% in meat, all for $2.30!
A guy staying at the hostel offered me some of his chicken and rice he had cooked, and kept saying about how good it was and how I should add more soy sauce/ salt, but I thought it was too salty anyway!
Went to Aron and Eddie's new house (they moved as they felt like strangers in their old house, because they had moved in much later than all the other housemates). It's very nice, although more out of town so I can't really walk on my own at night. I tried Eddie's Cadburys chocolate with popping candy. Apparently Alice's boss had said to her "This girl drinks so much water. If she was in India, I would stick a knife in her and stab her" which was very disturbing!
