My Camino Journey
This morning was another communal meal, which included bread with Nutella or jam and coffee or milk, let's just say this is all any pilgrim needs to kick start their day.... We were all out on the road by 6.45am but weren't all together for to long, today it seemed we all had our own Camino to walk and within the first couple of kilometres were were spread out along the path. It was nice to be able to have a little time to myself to think about the last couple of days and really appreciate the Friendship which I have formed. Today the whole track of 26.7km run along side a country road, not like a highway but just a normal two way road, which didn't have to much traffic on it... It was a little boring but at least once it heated up there were trees running the whole way along so there was shade. 7.4km in and the first stop is El Burgo Ranero, I wasn't sure if anyone that was walking behind me would stop here but I decided I would because I wanted to have a coffee and something to eat... Not long after I ordered, Silas, Sam and Ralph wandered in all ordering Coffee and food also. Sonia, Phil & Nancy decided to keep walking and Michele was last to joint the hungry group.... After about 20 minutes I was back on the path, headphones in my ears and moving along at a good pace.... It was another 13km to the next stop which I was glad to reach, my legs had started to get a little sore on the last couple of kilometres and I was again glad to have a rest and something to eat, while I was there Silas and Sam arrived , then shortly after Ralph and Michele..... Now we were on the home stretch for the day and had one another 7.6km to the finish... I passed some big construction site where they looked to be building a freeway, with a huge overpass..... I was actually stopped and told to wait for all the big trucks to pass with tonnes of dirt in them.... It was really weird to come across such a big construction zone in the middle of farm land which had wheat and corn fields. Entering the beginning of town and I see a sign for Le Jardin Albergue 150mts..... Thank god today's walk will be over in 150mtrs.....
