It is hard to keep up with blog as we have many power cuts or load shedding as it is known here, so cannot always charge my tab, also frustrating when l would like to use it for photos.
Today we hired a couple of mountain bikes, l could tell Ray was not keen and only doing this to shut me up lol. We set out on the road by the lake, although it felt more off road as it was rough with only patches of tarmac. They are supposed to drive on the left but it appears you just go for the best bit of the road regardless of what side it is. We arrived at the pond where we saw the eagles the other day and we were not dissapointed as there was even more this time. They are facinating to watch. We carried on riding through the country side avoiding rocks, holes, traffic and cow poo! On the return journey we stopped at a small resturaunt with smart thatched lodges you could stay in. This was owned by a couple who run the para hawking here. They take you para gliding where the hawks are trained to guide you to the thermals, you then feed them in flight in return. The birds have all been taken in as injured and are released when recovered. In the grounds you can look at the ones they have at the moment.
After our cycle ride we were covered in dust yet again, so after a shower we treated ourselves to a meal at a restaurant that puts on a cultural show. Once inside we realised that the restaurant was part of a smart hotel where they charge an extra 10% plus an extra 13%, but it worth it. The waiters looked smart in their suits, but the lady in charge wore a beautiful sari with a suit jacket on top which gave the impression that she was about to pop out to the shops lol.
