Today we awoke to a bright sunny day, the first morning without mist, so we decided to visit a huge lake called Begnas Tal while the weather was good. This involved getting the local bus which is not that easy when you cannot read the language, but after a long walk to the bus park, we managed to find the one we wanted. It was very colourful inside like most Asian transport also very uncomfortable. The driver seemed to be driving as fast as possible making for a very bumpy ride, then slamming on the brakes when he reached a stop.
The views of the mountains along the way were breathtaking. We did not know when to get off and had asked the driver to tell us, but we suddenly came to a stop and everyone including the driver got off, so we followed, fortunately it was the correct place.
The lake was huge and an emerald green colour with the mountains reflected in it. Wr hired a boat so Ray could do his Ray Mears impression lol.
We were the only westerners again! There were locals there doing their washing in the lake and drying it on the bank. We see washing hanging everywhere, on roofs, wall, fences, sides of the road and on trees and bushes. How it stays clean is beyond me as there is dust everywhere. I even see a sign the other day warning drivers to go slow so as not to create more.
Now back at guest house having a cup of tea and sharing a biscuit with my new friend jack daw he he. I think he followed me from home.
