Yesterday we spent the morning at the computer looking at guest houses at other locations and trying to work out an itinerary for when we leave here. We hope to spend a couple of nights at Tansen, then on to Lumbini for three or four nights followed by a trip to Chitwan nature reserve. Have found a lodge that Is not in the main tourist area so am waiting for reply. Finding places to stay is easy but trying to work out which local buses and where to get on and off is not so easy.
In the afternoon we collected our rings that we had made, Ray had chose a silver and star sapphire ring while l was naughty and chose a large pink ruby.we were both pleased with them. We are also having two more made with each others name on, ahh how romantic he he.
Today was overcast so we decided to take a walk around the Lake after l collected my yak patch that a guy made for me. This side of the lake is where the paragliders land, so we treated ourselves to a coffee and watched them land. We have not been this far around before. The weather did not make for a good photo day so we will hire bikes next time on a brighter day as there was some lovely views. We found that there is a huge upmarket hotel with swimming pool here, it seemed a bit out of place with the tiny guest houses and farm land next to it. While walking were were followed by a couple of very young children who kept trying to put their hands in our pockets. It seems the first english words they learn are hello, give me chocolate and give me rupees.
On the way back we saw a pond with about ten large eagles hunting for fish. I could have watched them for hours.
Ray has booked a days fishing on the lake for Friday, so l hope the
weather is good for him.
Now off for yet another yummy meal.
