Last night was rough as the tents were freezing and i had hardly any sleep :(( today has been incredible though. Set off early at about 8:30am and trekked to a local school where the children were so happy to see us. They all wanted their picture taken and were all smiling and waving. Another 8 hour trek completed today. Highlights of today were again the amazing views, the local people we met along the way who were so friendly and chatty, the animals that we came across like puppies and baby lambs and goats etc. Feeling the strain already and have another 4 days of trekking to go. Feeling a little homesick now - but trying not to think about it. Trying to have a shower and wash the grit out of your hair at temperatures of around 10•C is not fun and not clever. I'm surprised my body hasn't gone in to shock. Boiling hot and sweaty during the day - cold and numb at night. This is definitely a challenge!! I hope I'm still standing by the end of it!! Love and miss you all loads. Not going to have signal for the next two days so will update when I can. Xxxxxx
