Just checked in at the Johti Mahal hotel for a freshen up. A half hour journey from the airport actually took an hour which was rather scary travelling in a small rickety bus speeding through the bustling street of Delhi! Remembered to take my malaria tablets however for some reason they make me feel really sick after iv taken them and had to have a quick dash to the loo to throw up :'( feeling much better now however I wanted to cry as my stomach felt so gippy. Had a lovely Indian meal for lunch which consisted of bindi - a green vegetable called okra in England, chicken curry with peppers (which I did not try as I'm going to be a vegetarian this holiday) and an amazing "dhal curry" which was made with lentils. All served with boiled rice and freshly made chapathis! Just having a lie down for an hour before we go on a little trip to an ancient mosque then off to the sleeper train which will take us to Daramasala by early morning. All the people I've met are really lovely so think it will be a really good trip :) xx

Farter Weather in Dharamsala is sunny and about 15 degrees, dropping to about 5 or 6 in the night, and is likely to be the same into next week. I've sent a message to his Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet that you are on your way! Let us know where you are staying as there's a list of hotels etc on his website. Have a great time! Love you loads...Dad x
