After the transfer to Bir we settled into our rooms and walked over to the local village where the Buddhist monastery was holding a holy Sunday ceremony. It was fascinating to watch - they had drums and chants and holy water flicked all over the place and prayers being repeated over and over. During the end they offered holy water, whisky, fruit, bread and bottled juice as an offering from God. They even offered chewing gum and packets of noodles. It was brilliant. When the ceremony ended we walked back to the lodge and had a lovely meal sat on cushions around the table. Quiche, chicken stew, homemade potato wedges and fresh salad. Was very tasty. Just been sat around the campfire and the stars are amazingly bright and clear. Having an early night at half 8pm as all the fresh air has worn me out. Good night world. <3 xx
