So it was the last night of sleeping in the freezing cold tent - and another early start of trekking. Sat in the back of a pick up truck that drove us 30mins away to our starting point in a little village. The ride there was very bumpy and is sure to have given me both bruises and whiplash. Today's walk was around 14-15miles with lots of scrambling up rocks and very very steep inclines. Tough tough tough. Think im starting to come down with something as I feel like crap and full if a cold. During the end of the days trek there was an 8km (5mile) stretch of flat terrain. Me and the two men, Will and Martin decided to power walk it - I have never walked so fast for so long in my life!! - and try to beat the previous trekking groups time of 1hour 17minutes. We made it in......1 hour 2minutes and 10 seconds!!! Rather proud of that! Chilled out for a bit before the evening meal of pasta and ratatouille with cheese and salad. Another night of campfire under the stars and tonight we will be sleeping in an old hunting lodge on a "bed" which is merely a bit of wooden slats and a sheet over the top - aka UNCOMFORTABLE as HELL!! Long days walk will hopefully make me sleep all the way through - nu'night all xx
