Well. I left off with Surf Shack, so I guess that means we'll start with La Esquina. We planned to go have pizza at a different restaurant from La Esquina but apparently our future had other plans. My mom is on a World schooling site, and on that site she met a lady named Nicci. Nicci and her husband Ray, have 3 children, they live less than 5 minutes away walking distance from us. Maya is 10 years old and very nice, she is one of Nicci's kids, we became good friends. Okay, well this entry isn't about friends, we'll get back to that in another story. Anyway, we were planning to eat out at a restaurant. It happened to be Ashton's 8th birthday (Ashton is one of Nicci's kids). Nicci invited us to the resturaunt, and we agreed. La Esquina was a nice resturaunt, it had a kid play area and nice seating. All us kids ran wild! Ashton invited some other kids to his party. All the playing and screaming and non-restaurant behavior really confused me and made me feel weird. Usually at a restaurant you sit down on a seat and eat, whereas we were doing the complete opposite. Then we sat down to finally feed our starved bellies and it was just like a normal restaurant once more. They had good pizza! My mom and dad got a calzone, it was huge. Honestly, I have never heard of a calzone. Anyway, after we ate pizza we played for a little while longer, then it was time for Ashton's birthday cake. We all sang happy birthday! The cake was chocolate-rasberry. It was a good cake, with the sweet rasberries on top and inside. We left soon after cake, we walked home with Nicci's family.
La Baula was nice, they sold mostly pizza, but they also had salads and some desserts. We ate at La Baula, but it took a little while to actually find the restaurant. We thought we had an idea where it was, but it wasn't actually right. We asked a person who was working at a souvenir store where it might be, while my parents were figuring out where it was, I explored the shop. The shop had wooden animals, jewelery, and stuffed animals. Okay, so we got the instructions on how to get to the restaurant. Soon we were seated at La Baula and ready to order, we ordered 3 pizzas; cheese, pepporoni, and garlic. The restaurant had a playground with a big slide and swings. The swings were actually hammock seats hanging down on a normal swingset structure. The pizza was delicious, it was hot and chewy and everything you could want for a good pizza. That night was Lucas's birthday, we went out for dinner to celebrate him! Because it was Lucas's birthday we got to get a treat, now we didn't know where we were going to get the treat. It worked out perfectly, the waitress/owner came over and gave us the check, we told the owner that it was Lucas's birthday and she said, "free ice cream for the kids!" I got chocolate ice cream, Levi & Noah got vanilla, and birthday boy got vanilla-chocolate. The ice cream was good, they served it not on a cone, but in a fancy bowl. After good ice cream, all us kids raced back to the play structure.
