The day we were to leave Santa Teresa Costa Rica and moved on to Tamarindo was a little exciting, but at the same time more sad than happy in my opinion. I had loved living in the fabulous house and swimming in the pool, running around and screaming when Levi chased us. When I woke up that morning I was awfully tired, the night before had been Halloween. But when the news came to me that my parents had woken up at 5:00am. Oh my goodness, they were probably extra extra tired. We all ate toast for breakfast that morning, toast was the easiest thing to make in Costa Rica aside from cereal.
I had heard from my parents that Tamerindo had lots of tourists and that it was a big city compared to Santa Teresa, Santa Teresa was just a little strip of town. Dad told me that Tamarindo was going to be kinda like a mini Capitola. We stayed in a condo when we lived in Tamarindo for a month, the condo was located like a five to ten minute walk to the grocery store, and a ten to fifteen minute walk to the beach. When I was buckling up in the car I wanted to cry, I was very sad about leaving the house that I liked so much. Dad was getting a video on the GO PRO, he asked us questions of where we were going and what we were about to do, it was very hard for me to hold back my tears, and it was also hard for me to answer any of his questions. On the way to Tamarindo the roads were so bumpy, they made all of us feel sick. The roads were made up of dirt and rocks, and so we would get a big bump like every other second. The other problem was that we were going up and down and around windy roads. After tons of terrible bumps we got to a paved road and we actually passed a KFC! I hadn't seen a fast food place for like two months. Me and my brothers were all bored, so mom said we could play video games. We finally reached Tamarindo, we passed a sign that said Tamarindo Church, I had been told there was an English speaking church in Tamarindo.
We dropped off our luggage at our new house, then we we went off to bring our car back. So we dropped off our car at the Bugdet car rental place. After our car was delivered we went to the beach, now this was not a full on swimsuit and sunscreen beach day. It was mainly lets check out our new beach kinda thing. My dad spotted an Argentian restuarant called Patagonia. So we ate at the resturaunt. One of the reasons we ate there was because Argentina made good meat and my family hasn't had good meat for two months. Costa Rica's steak is horribly chewy and dry. The second reason was because, well that was a resturaunt, and everyone was hungry as far as I'm concerned. We hadn't had a real meal since our toast we had for breakfast.
At the resturaunt dad got a ribeye steak, the boys got noodles, and mom got pasta. Me, well I wasn't interested in anything on the menu but STEAK! So dad and me shared the ribeye, the steak was huge. We all enjoyed a yummy dinner, me and dad's steak was delicious. At the resturaunt my brothers were running around, they just couldn't stay still. After our yummy dinner at the resturaunt we were all pretty tired, we stopped at a grocery store and went back to our condo, got ready for bed and went to sleep.
