This morning I got up about 8am, packed up all my bags and had some breakfast. I got showered and ordered a taxi, ready to go over to Nusa Dua and meet up with Mum and Dad. The taxi arrived and I said goodbyes to everyone who was around at Leggies, then was on my way. The closer I got the more and more excited I was to see them, and when I met Dad in reception I couldn't keep the big grin off my face.
It was so funny to all of a sudden walk into a posh hotel while still just wearing Boardies, a t-shirt and bare foot. Although, that was nothing compared to just seeing Dad sat in reception reading a book! Having said what was a very happy but slightly strange hello, we signed me into my room, then went off down there from reception. I found mum sitting by the pool as expected, and said an equally happy but strange hello to her too. It was extremely weird to feel a little like a stranger to my own parents, although it only lasted for about 2 minutes. I was also a little surprised to see neither of them seemed to have changed much physically - having seen photos of friends/friends parents/family all looking different.
We basically spent all the rest of the day talking and catching up on things from home, whilst swimming in the pool or having 2 for 1 Bintangs at 'Happy Hour' at the pool bar. We chatted about just about everything; how the house had changed, how my brothers have changed, how I've changed, my time with Mark and Fenella, my travels in Aus+Bali and just about everything in between.
Despite being a really great and enjoyable day there isn't much more to report. The hotel is fantastic, and just like the luxury I was expecting. Having such a nice room all to myself is such a bonus! The pool/eating area is all very nice, and there is a gym/spa area too.
Other than talking just constantly we had lunch, Mum did Polarities, we swam in the pool, drank a few beers at the bar, had dinner and went to bed!
