So today it is was 7 days before my Indo VISA runs out. I got up at 8am, had breakfast and set off for the Immigration office in Denpasar, near the Airport. It was an absolutely disgusting morning - torrential rain, dark and windy.
At 10am I managed to find the place, after numerous detours and asking random locals for directions. I took my helmet and poncho, feeling stressed out and tired when a local guy came up to me with the fantastic news of - 'Sorry, closed on weekend. Must come back Monday 8am'. Whaaaaaatttt?! I hadn't even realised it was a Saturday and was more annoyed at myself for being so stupid than them for being closed. After a little sulk I Donned all my kit, turned round and drove the hour and a bit back to Bingin.
By the time I got back despite an equally bad drive I was in a much better mood - I knew where to go on Monday after all.
I was just in time we saw goodbyes to Elizebath and wave her off in the taxi destined for Thialand, and some alternative learning (?) school she is helping set up.
I spent until lunch just chilling around with Wesley until Maurice+Bo arrived at our place. The weather had cleared up a bit after all the rain, so the 4 of us headed off to check out Uluwatu. It was cool to see it in real life for the first time after seeing so many photos etc. There was loads of swell around, but the onshore wind and high tide was making a real mess of it, and no one was in the water. We walked down to the cafe pitched on the rocks down by the water and watched for a while, before going off to check out somewhere else.
By this time it was 4:30pm and we were all hungry, so decided to look for somewhere to have an early dinner. Whilst near Uluwatu we found a really cool looking Thia place, which had loads of life seafood in tanks to choose from, so we went there.
We had another brilliant dinner (which Wesley's brother very generously treated us to!) with all sorts of great seafood. The pawns and snapper both cooked on a BBQ grill were my favourite for sure!
When we got back we all went and got showered etc, then Wesley and I went round to his brothers place again in the evening. Despite all we had eaten, we also picked up a variety of nuts and nibbles to have with a other evening of Cheese+Whisky+Rum! Once again it was a lovely evening, and I got to bed about 1am.
