After a pretty poor nights sleep on my behalf, we got up and had breakfast about 8ish. Then, miraculously, we actually managed to leave Leggies by 9am with the intentions of a low tide surf at Green Bowl. Having got on the main road it wasnt long before we were all pulled over by a police roadblock. The proceeded to tell us we must provide them with an 'international drivers licence' (which only E-Man has), and it was a day the police were cracking down on the road. We managed to avoid a fine by convincing them to let us go, pick up this supposed licence, and return with it.. At which point we went the completely other way down the little roads to Uluwatu instead.
We weren't too hopeful about the surf, but were pleasantly surprised to find it was actually about 2-3ft and breaking nicely, although it was pretty busy. We went for a surf for about 2 hours, before like yesterday, the tide got too high. I had a reasonable surf I suppose, but wasn't all that excited when we got out.
I then realised I had left my keys in the scooter ignition the whole time, so left the others too it looking through the surf photog's photos, and went to see if I still had a bike left. Luckily it was just as I left it, I sat and had a rice and chicken from the bloke selling off the back of his scooter, waiting for the others.
When they came back up 20 mins later they said there were some alright ones of me and Dan, but no one had enough money to buy any at all. We drove back to Leggies to drop everything off, then Dan and I went back to get the photos. In the end I got 8 ok photos for $10, so I was happy. The photos actually gave the impression I had got better waves than I did, but no one has to know that!
When we got back Dan and I had lunch and used E-Mans laptop to put the photos on Facebook etc. Then for the rest of the afternoon we just bummed about and chilled out, I read my book by the pool and swam to keep cool as it was stinking hot.
Later we started getting the beers in for a few hours then went down to Single Fin at Ulus. We had a man fun night knocking back beers and chatting to ransoms about surfing etc. Also Benny for Leggies was down there too, so we chatted to him for ages as he is full of awesome stories.
By 1am we were all out of money and had plenty of Bintangs anyway, so headed home and crashed out pretty much instantly!
