So today we it was the pretty standard morning of getting up about half 8 and having breakfast as usual. The tide was a bit awkward, so we had to surf Green Bowl on the drop at mid tide, about midday. We killed a bit of time, then headed out on the scooters as usual.
We got there to find it was tiny, which was pretty disappointing. Exactly the same swell has been around for 3 days, yet it has resulted in smaller surf each day!? Having driven there we thought we might as well go out anyway as a few still looked fun.
It was about 1-2ft most of the time and really busy, with about 20 people out covering both peaks. We surfed for a couple of hours and I got a few little fun ones, but nothing on a few days before.
We got back Leggies by about 3pm and had some lunch. I discovered despite having loads of suncream on, I had managed to get some tasty sunburn on my back. Charlie had suffered the same problem, so we ended up slapping on after sun every hour for the rest of the day.
During the afternoon I played loads of 's***head' with Dan and E-Man, messed about on the Internet, and we all watched a couple of episodes of
Game of Thrones.
Later on we had dinner, and just sat around chatting until I went to bed about 9:30pm really tired.
