So today Saskia goes off to the Surf Camp. She was meant to be going about 9am, so set an alarm for 7:30am. No surprise I woke up a bit blury eyed.
We had breakfast and just chilled in the eating area, where I caught up with some of the others who were here before. It was really cool to see them again and hear what they had been up to since last time. I also met 2 guys (Dutch...surprise surprise!) who had come just after I left last time. They seemed really cool and were really into their surfing. They were showing me GoPro videos of an 'expedition' (probably the best way to put it) they did to Java with a guy they knew living in Bali. It seemed like a hell of an adventure living in the jungle and surfing some almost unknown spots.
As can be pretty common with Balinese 'elastic' time, the people collecting Saskia didn't turn up until about 11am. By which time I had gone and checked the surf at Bingin, but it was really windy onshore and the swell was almost nonexistent.
After Saskia left I finished reading the 2nd book in the 'Millennium' series im reading. It's fair to say I Havnt ever been so hooked on a set of books. There is so much going on and stuff to think about you never want to put it down once you've started reading!
I had some lunch, and then set off down to the Immigration Office for a 3rd and final time to collect my new VISA (and passport which they had for the last 8 days!).
I got there without much hassle, and even better I only had to wait about 15 minutes before I was called up. I was unceremoniously given my passport back, complete with a new stamp, and that was that. Five minutes later I was back on the road to Bingin.
When i got back it was mid-late afternoon and the surf was rubbish, so I just chilled by the pool. It's ridiculous how dirty and sweaty you feel after driving those roads, so a quick shower and a long time lounging around in the pool was perfect.
In the evening I just had dinner here with some of the others and chatted for a bit, before writing this and going to bed.
