Having removed as much of yesterday's glitter last night as possible, I struggled to wake up today, but made it to school nonetheless.
Most of today was spent learning about the beauty industry, and the best ways of becoming employed, including the do's and do not's of working as a professional make-up artist. There was also a demonstration of a typical look for this coming Fall (Autumn)/Winter.
I was working with Jennifer, who actually let me go first today. Makes a change to all the other days. Being the good student I am, I actually did my sketch last night of what I was going to do in today's class, which was based on a couple of Google researched images by 'Chanel'. You can see from the picture above how it ended up. I think Jennifer was happy with it, as she wore the make-up home. Then again, she went home with the make-up of a showgirl yesterday, so maybe she just doesn't care.
I had to remove mine, just in case George wasn't around to give me a lift home tonight, meaning I'd have to take a train/bus/walk combo home. I looked very good though.
Penultimate night on the sculpt and I've got the front of the facial area pretty much mapped out, it just needs cleaning up a bit. I'll be carrying on the work with it over the next several weeks, just to get a bit more finished. Shipping it home is going to be pretty expensive.
George gave me a lift home, so I can get to work on homework for tomorrow. A short presentation on our perception of beauty and the beauty industry. We also have to make a collage. I've ponced some mags off Jodi, so I should be OK.
Looking forward to the weekend now. Just one day left...
