We'd decided early on to go deeper into Downtown LA to see what else was around, though maybe trying to avoid "Dublins" in case the Irish nutter was back (or still there).
We trekked for what seemed like ages until we decided we'd had enough of looking at the same stuff. It kind of resembled a seaside town, with loads of people all selling ice-creams, soft drinks, balls, sunglasses, or tacos. Bit odd.
Feeling a bit hungry, and choosing against the street vendors' tacos, we headed to Little Tokyo, which was much more pleasant. A lot quieter, and very few Mexicans shouting at me to buy stuff I don't want. Had a few afternoon beers in a Japanese Karaoke bar, although unfortunately, we were too early for the Karaoke. Maybe next time. The waitress, wanting to make us feel more at home, did put on a few low-quality MP3's for us to enjoy. Real British stuff... Coldplay and Adele.
This wasn't quite to my taste, and we eventually decided to make a move back. We didn't really know quite where back was, so we just headed in the general direction of "back", though avoiding the vendors flogging us toot.
We inadvertantly walked past the Disney Music Hall, LA Music Center, and the Los Angeles Police Department. All massive and extravagant buildings!
Eventually back at the apartment, not getting lost once (honest), it was time for another beer and a short siesta before heading out for food and groceries. The nearest recognisable 'restaurant' was a McDonald's... I'm limiting myself to one a month, and will be honest if I have another one before then...I promise. I should mention, I ordered a Double Quarterpounder... but surely this should be called a Halfpounder... Maybe they don't understand fractions here.
Yet again, another early night. I'm hoping WWE Summerslam tomorrow night will be pretty good. Oh, did I forget to mention Im going? Oops...
