Still woke up early today. Think I'll have to get used to this new routine. Thought it best to go shopping first, as all the food I have is starting to turn, and I was starving. It's just not the easiest to walk 20 mins to the supermarket whilst bearing a mild hangover, in the blistering heat.
Popped to the pharmacy-come-general store first and made Jodie buy me some make-up primer I've had to ponce all week, and some women's magazines I needed for homework; I couldn't bring myself to purchase them myself, even when I've been wearing women's make-up all week.
"Food 4 Less" was the next port of call. It seemed a lot better than last week. Maybe because we're more settled in and used to the American stuff a bit more now.* Having bought enough supplies to last the month (I hope) we stood outside hoping to find a taxi. Luckily, some old Colombian guy offered us a lift back to the apartment with all our stuff. He said taxi, but it definitely wasn't a registered cab. It was safe enough though.
I tucked in to my long awaited Roast Turkey dinner which was microwaved to perfection and spent the rest of the day writing blogs, doing some washing, and watching downloaded episodes of Eastbound and Down. Unfortunately, everyone was using the drying racks, so my washing is still draped over every possible hanging space in available in my room. This is not a lot. I'm hoping it'll be dry for the morning.
I'm just doing a little bit of research and homework now for this week, as it will be difficult to get anything else done in between/after classes this week. I've still got one week left of sculpting to do too.
*There was an amusing moment where an older gentleman let rip for what seemed like an eternity, not knowing we were stood ten feet away behind him. I found it extremely difficult to keep a straight face. He left soon after…
