Yet another long day was to be had today which again kicked off with another tutorial, kind of repeating yesterday's task, but this time with added eyeshadow and lipstick.
I was paired with Viktoria, an Estonian girl who'd been living in Los Angeles since October, and we both agreed that I would go in the chair first. i say agreed, I wanted to get it over and done with as soon as possible. I won't go into detail, but I think she did an amazing job, considering the canvas she had to work with. I looked fabulous.
It was my turn after lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised with the way my attempt came out, considering this is only the second EVER time I've had to apply make-up to any other human (don't worry, I haven't been testing on animals to get the practice in, though there is a cat always asleep in the garden when I look out my window…
Another day done (ish) so I popped to the bar up the road for a quick glass of Scrimshaw*, a nice little Pilsner from the North Coast Brewery, before heading back to the school for more sculpting.
Carrying on from where I left yesterday, it was pretty much more building up the skeletal frame, but also beginning to form more shape to the maquette. I'm still not entirely sure what I'm going for, and have kind of disregarded the reference sheets I made, and am now just going by eye and feel.
Finished at 10. Waited twenty minutes to discover the bus i wanted stops at 9. Walked 15 mins to the next bus stop. Waited another 25 minutes for a different bus to turn up. Was eventually home by 23:15. Quick fag. No time for a shower. Write this. Bed.
Now you can all have a good laugh at my beautiful face.
*I think I forgot to mention yesterday, that I'd had a pint of Franciskaner on Tuesday. I'm working my way through them all, as they're all fairly obscure. Tomorrow night, "Raging b****"...

Stephen Jeffrey The picture actually freaks me out. Fact, I love the fact your day still ends in a pub with weird sounding beers
