Having had just 5 hours sleep, I woke up and realised I needed a shower from yesterday's make-up session. I still had foundation on. This meant then rushing to get everything sorted before catching the bus. I rushed so much, I was early. So early in fact, I was the first one in class…
Repeat from yesterday, this time from a classic look to a dramatic look, as well as a second "sexy" look, adding different tones of eyeshadow, as well as eyeliner, and fake lashes, and then red lipstick and 'wings' for the eyes.* As I was falling asleep, I thought it best I go in the chair first. Today I was with Yasuko, a local resident, who did a very good job. I should hope so too, considering she's done this sort of thing before. You can see from the photos how great I looked.
Quick bite to eat and several cigarettes later, I had a go. I'm getting a bit faster at doing it, but still need some work. It's lucky I don't intend on going into business with this sort of thing, as women would NEVER be ready on time. Although Mereille (tutor), told us for a simple classic make-up, we could look at charging about $80-100, and around $120 for a dramatic or "sexy" look. So, all of you that wanted me to do your make-up for nights out when I get back, you'd better start saving! No, seriously.
After finishing for the day, Mereille seemed very impressed with my work, and I think she's starting to hate me less now. I think she thinks I'm not overly keen on high fashion photographic make-up. I'm not sure why.
Knowing that I'd missed a decent Spurs display whilst having my false lashes attached (although I did keep up to date with the Sky Sports Football application), I popped to the bar next door to see if it was being replayed. It wasn't, but I felt rude not having a beer having gone in there. Also, I didn't want to look stupid just walking straight out. I opted for something familiar today, so chose and Amstel. Unfortunately, it was Amstel Light, and not to my taste, so I had a Heineken to make up for it. This then lead to a bottle of Stella. I was trying to make sense of the American Football and Little League Baseball that was on various televisions. I still have no idea what was going on. I'm not sure why they televise Little League games either, unless it's just for paedophiles and men who like to look at the kid's 'moms'?
Back to school for sculpting, which involved a bit more blocking and beginning to add more detail into the features. I'm more pleased with it now.
The journey home was one of the more pleasant ones I've had this week. I opted for the Metro Rail. Still a bit of a walk, but at least people aren't throwing tacos at me hoping i'll buy them, or having complete strangers begging for a cigarette. They're beginning to frustrate me.
Back fairly early, in comparison to the last few nights, so maybe I'll feel a bit more refreshed tomorrow. I've been paired with Arthur, so it should be quite an amusing day. Unfortunately, I've left my Macbook on all day to download 3 series of Alan Partridge; I might as well just stay up until tomorrow...
*See, i'm actually learning and not just sitting on the beach or getting murdered.
