Our last day here! How sad!
Laurel and I got up early this morning to go check out this outlet store we had heard so many great things about. The place was far away and turned out to be a total bust, so we took advantage of our time and went instead to this extremely yummy pizza restaurant, Dar Poeta, that every one else had had the chance to go to except us and said it was amazing. They were right, it was definitely the best pizza I've had yet! We then headed to class, where we have our presentation in Cinema. Well, he didn't make clear that he had wanted a PowerPoint presentation, our group was just planning on standing up and talking about the film, so while the other group went, we quickly put together a presentation from our seats. Our professor was shocked by our ability to do that and seemed to like our presentation. He let us out of class early so that we could study for our Daily Life final. I haven't had time to study nearly as much as I did for the first one, but between my great first grade and how much he loved our presentation, I didn't have to do extremely well to still get an A (74), which I would be disappointed if I wasn't able to do that. We got to leave as soon as we finished our test, so we headed home and packed up. At 6:45 we had one last group dinner as a farewell to everyone. It was awesome to see everyone one last time! After dinner we took way too many pictures together, then a group of 18 of us went on a night time adventure of Rome one last time. It was hard traveling with that many people, but the craziness made it just that more fun. We got gelato, then went to Piazza Navona because a few people wanted to buy one last piece of artwork, then headed to the coliseum. We took a bunch of silly pictures and even a video of us doing our own Harlem Shake (if you aren't sure what that is, look it up on YouTube), we even ran laps around the coliseum like gladiators! It was so fun! We had to head back early because we have to leave for the airport at 3:30, but everyone else was staying out all night until the morning when they have to fly out. I'm so jealous of what else they get to do, but it doesn't matter because I had so much fun! I am so thankful for the opportunity I was given of being able to come on this trip, and thankful of everyone who helped it to happen! Thank you so much for this once in a lifetime experience!
As sad as I am to leave, the time has come for me to go home. Get ready Florida, because we'll be back soon!
