Today was a very chill day spent in preparation for Barcelona this weekend. We woke up, ate lunch, and headed to the school to book tours in Barcelona and print both those vouchers and our boarding passes (we don't have a printer in our apartment). Cinema class was spent discussing the movies from the week, and then in place of Daily Life the class was going to visit a synagogue after rescheduling from the original plan of going Monday. Unfortunately because it was switched to Thursday, the four of us were unable to go because of our early check-in time for our flight and travel time needed because our flight was out of the farther away airport. Our teacher understood, and we were on our way to the near-by trainstation to catch the train to the airport. Boy what an adventure we had! The train schedule was different than the one posted on the marquee, so we didn't get on our first-option train because we thought it was the wrong one. So we rush to our second option train, only to get to it after the doors closed and we couldn't get on. That was the last train we could take to the main station to connect to our airport in time, so we had to take a bus to the main station. We waited for the nearest bus to the trainstation we were at that would take us to the next one, but after waiting 20 minutes it still did not come. We then notice another bus that picks up near our apartment was on its way but the bus stop was about five blocks away, so we were in a race against traffic and stoplights to make it to that bus stop in time. I was able to run there (after dropping my water bottle along the way, luckily Sara-Margaret grabbed it for me) and hold the bus while the other three caught up from not far behind me. We ended up making it to the station with four minutes to spare before the train we needed, which was just enough time for us to make it to the platform and get on. Once we arrived at our stop, we had to take a sketchy shuttle bus to the tiny airport we were flying from. Once we arrived though, everything was fine. We got through security, ate dinner, and get right in line because our flight did not have assigned seats. We were able to all sit next to eachother, and after an hour and 45 minutes, we were in Barcelona! I can't wait for the amazing weekend we are going to have! Adios!
