Unfortunate update: there are lizards in Rome. And even more unfortunate for me, they aren't the normal terrifying house lizards we have in Florida; they're larger, more colorful and scary-looking, and less afraid of people so they don't scamper away as you walk by. I thought I was getting rid of them, but it just got worse here. I swear if I wake up with one in our apartment....
