After waking up today, we had lunch at home then headed to class. In Cinema we watched a movie called Habeus Papum, and Daily Life was cancelled because we were going on a tour. We had an hour and a half gap in-between, so Laurel and I decided to start our project for Daily Life on Roman baths that was due the next day. Well, we lost track of time and left a little late for our tour, luckily other people had gotten lost so we weren't the last ones there and the group had waited. We toured the Ara Pacus, or Altar of Peace built by Augustus. It's very ornate and pretty. It was found in pieces, so the restoration they've been able to do is amazing. Augustus's mausoleum was next door so we saw that too, but it isn't much to look at because it has become so destroyed. We knew we still had a lot to do on our project so we picked up a few things at the store, cooked dinner at home and cranked out our presentation. We finally finished and I must say it turned out great. Hope our teacher thinks so! We're going out tonight with a bunch of people from our group to the Kareoke bar for one last hoorah before final exams and everyone leaving. It should be a great time! A domani!
