What a crazy morning! I woke up at 7.30 after staying up late working on a paper and studying for an exam and the first thing I hear about is the bomb they found over in Picadilly! I got worried there for a second because my roommate went out there clubbing last night and she didn't come back, but she had ended up staying with a friend in another place. I didn't really think much of it after that and I never watch TV so I didn't hear anything about it until class.
I didn't get to go for a run this morning...sad. I spent it in the library with Amy studying. I think I did pretty well on my paper and my exam. The exam only took me a little over an hour and it covered three different topics: devolution in Scotland and Wales, reforming the House of Lords, and the emergence of a multi-party system in the UK.
This afternoon/early evening Christa and I went to Primark on Oxford Street. I will never ever ever go back to that place again. It was pure chaos! Once you step through the doors it's pretty much every man for himself. People are grabbing things and will walk right over you. They even try the clothes on right there in the store! Obviously not the pants, but they'll try shirts and dresses and things like that on over there clothes right out in the open. The fashion is like Forever 21, but they also have kids and mens clothes, shoes, and homeware. It was just so crowded and the lines were ridiculously long. I wouldn't go back if I got paid to do it and the princes would be there. It was absolute torture.
After that we just came back and had dinner. My study abroad adviser from Ohio State emailed me to see if I was okay. Picadilly isn't even near where I live and I'm thankful to be next to Kensington Palace because security was heightened in our area just to be on the safe side. But now I have to go. Christa and I are going to see Shrek the Third in Chelsea tonight and we have to stock up on potato chips! Make sure you look at the new pictures I put up!
