Round the world in 150 days
I spoke to mum and dad and Erin on the phone and Erin told me that she is picking up her wedding dress tomorrow and there's a secret... She's up the duff!!! And she's going to have to cut a hole in the front of the dress and put in an elastic bit to compensate for the baby. Just joking. She's not really up the duff. Everytime i speak to her, i'm expecting her to tell me she is.
Speaking of babies, My german friend tells me that the giant nests on top of all of the churches and cathedrals that i love so much are stork nests. REAL STORKS!! It's so cute. And the other thing that i love to hear everyday is the birds cuckooing. Everytime i hear one, i stop to listen.
Today was a really long walk but at the end, i was walking with my pants rolled up and a singlet and the sun was shining. A beautiful day. And i came to the top of a hill and there were the snow capped mountains again. It makes me smile every time i see them because without them the terrain is nice but with them, it's spectacular, especially with the nice weather.
The spaniards are having ANOTHER fiesta, so nothing is open except the bars and chocolateries (bloody chocolateries), and i really want some veggies and cheese and ham for dinner. i don't think it's going to happen.
Astorga is a nice town. I couldn't resist walking into the chocolate shop and i was going to buy something but stopped at one teeny tiny little bit of orange chocolate sample thing.
