Round the world in 150 days
I DO get a hot shower this morning, since no-one seems to have showers in the morning. As usual, i'm one of the last to leave. I often intend to leave by 7am but 7.00 turns into 8.15 or 9.30. From one of the highest mountains in the area, i can see a whole lot of other mountains throughout this part of Galicia. There is a lot of fog down lower and the mountains look like islands in a sea of white. It's very spectacular.
After my tuna, lettuce, tomato and mayo bocadillo (in bread that a PERSON actually made, rather than a machine), i'm walking out of town and it starts to get cold. I stop to put my jacket on and out of no-where, a nice old lady in an apron pops up and starts to chat with me. I'm chatting for about a minute and she pops in the door and grabs a plate of crepes and offers me one. How nice! I would feel rude to refuse so i take one. Then she covers the plate with a tea towel and points to it and say 'If you like, a donation'. I know this is not a question of a donation but how much. Stung! I'm annoyed that the crafty old woman tricked me into thinking that she's being a nice old lady and I've got the s***s so i take out 20c and throw it on her little plate. She picks it up and says 'have you got 50c?'. Stunned, i pull out the 50c and give it to her and walk off laughing. Old b****!! Later at dinner, Karen and Angela say that she got them last time, first thing on a freezing cold morning and this time, they saw her with 10 pilgrims around and laughed and kept walking. They said that she looks better than she did last time and may have had some work and her teeth done. I don't mind paying anything for stuff but when people are being deceptive or trying to rip me off, it gets up my goat.
