This picture... haha, yeah right!! I read a quote somewhere, something like: 'On a long journey, even a piece of straw weighs a tonne'. Well this couldn't be truer. I threw the pink top in the bin today. It's the second top í've don this to. Now i have a singlet, a thermal underwear top, a hoodie, a fat warm vest and my rain coat and pants and short. Everything stinks so i might as well have less things that stink. I am also going to send more stuff to santiago. And i went through my bag to throw out stuff that's been collecting for a day or two like rubbish. The housekeeping has to be done every day or two or you end up like a poor old camel lugging a tonne of crap around. Today i'm sick of chocolate. I've been eating it everyday 'for energy'. But now i'm a bit sick of it. Well i never thought i'd see the day i'd hear myself say that. It's been raining today and a mud track has decided to join forces with a stream that is running alongside the path. The water is moving steadily along and the muddy water is creeping into the stream like slow smoke. It's nice to watch. I'm just sitting in an internet cafe procrastinating about when to start the next 19kms. My back is tired from the pack. I was going to write something else but i've forgotten.
