Well, on departure from my new found friends, i found myself to be feeling very alone. I think i might have just been having a hormotional day. When i got to the albergue, Some spaniard wanted to talk to me and i basically made it clear that i didn't feel like talking. Then, while i was making myself dinner, i was thinking, all i want to do is to speak to someone who is a native english speaker. then this girl liz walks around the corner. that was good. The next day.... I set off and there are MILLIONS of people on the road. It drove me insane. You know that song, i think it's dolly or kenny rogers or some cowboy... 'some days are diamonds, some days are stone...' well this day is definitely a STONE!!! I feel like Kath in the scene where she's just found out that kim might be a homoseksyewal and she's running through town with only one shoe on. I just kept walking and thought, i'm not gonna stop til i find somewhere that i am content. Somewhere i can get a bit of peace. So i keep walking. And walking. And walking. Til i get to this town where i see an italian lady i had been talking to the night before. She directs me to an Albergue in the bell tower of the town.... I'm not sure i want to stay here. so i walk up the stairs and there are another MILLION spaniards celebrating palm sunday!!! I must have looked like a deer in the headlights. I was literally swarmed by 5 spanish women asking me where i was from and if i was staying. Then i say 'how far to Redecilla?' and they say 5kms and i say 'ok, i'm just gonna keep walking, adios'. I felt a bit rude leaving but the place just freaked me right out!!! so i find a decent little place to stay and then the shower goes cold and i start laughing because this is just a perfect addition to the day. If you don't laugh, you'll cry. Tomorrow will be better.... Tomorrow... I walk for 3 hours before getting a coffee and again feel like Kath with one shoe on. But i find a bar with a fire going and sit and have a cofffee and i think it's the best coffee i've ever had.
