It was my day to organize the activities so I choose to leave our apartment at noon. With all of these large crowds everywhere we go and the need to get to games on time, there is no doubt this part of the trip in London is starting to wear thin. This is why I choose the relaxing route, we took the bus to Greenwich and walked around the market for a while. Shelley got some directions for the best pub in town! It was a bit of a walk but it was worth it, I had bangers and mash and my first ever Yorkshire pudding. It was actually very tasty but the whole concept of being supplied with an empty pie just doesn't make a lot of sense(see the picture).
The main reason we went down to greenwich was to catch the ferry service into west minster. It was actually very relaxing and a good way to see the city of London, you can see all of the sites without having to push though the crowds and/or get on the trains!!! Once we arrived at our stop we got off and went straight into west minster abbey! This place was cool it had really old architecture and some very very impressive stained glass windows! It also is the burial place of lots of kings and queens!
After this we went and had a couple of beers at a nice pub and then headed to the Canada house, it was packed like you wouldn't believe and for some reason Chelsea decided she wanted to meet us there!! This didn't last for long so Chels, Alex and I headed for some peace and quiet at Covent square and had a nice pizza and some beer! We then went back to Stratford and dropped Chelsea off after seeing her for maybe a whole hour. Alex and I had a couple more beers and then headed home, it was a fairly relaxing day and gives us the energy to cheer hard for Chels against the USA tomorrow!!!
