Today was the first of the great days in London, team Canada and of course Chelsea had there first victory since arriving at the Olympics. They were playing the home team of GB, the noise in the stadium was immense whenever GB got a basket and there was some booing when the game got close and Canada were hitting the lead! Great work Chelsea and the team it was awesome to be there for such a close victory!!!!!
We started the day off by doing a walking tour of central London, we saw the changing of the guard and the royal band! We also walked down to Buckingham palace, and saw the Australian and Canadian gates that surround it! After that we went on the hop on hop off tour around London it was fantastic seeing all of the famous landmarks. At some stage I will look at these landmarks in person hopefully and I will give more detail!
After the bus we went to the Canada house and hung out for a while until we headed to the game. This was my first time inside the Olympic arena and it was so very busy! I also got blisters on my feet so thank you Chelsea! The game was close the whole way through and it really was great to watch! Fantastic atmosphere in the venue but the crowd was in favor of GB. After the game the team came outside and we got to say g'day which was nice, it wasn't for long but it was great to congratulate them on there first Olympic victory!
We went and had some Mexican celebrations after the game, and then headed home it was a long day but a great day!
