Another game day but today had a different result, they played France and it was close the whole way through. Unfortunately by the time the buzzer went the girls had lost, they had there opportunities they had 11 shots for 3 and missed them all even if a couple had of dropped the result would of been different but that's basketball I guess.
We had an early start thanks to the basketball being a 9 am start, after the game we went and had lunch at the worlds largest McDonald's in the Olympic village! We then walked around the outside of the main arena and Alex and i choose to go back for a sleep. Chelsea and her team ventured out of the Olympic village to go to the Canada house for a meet and greet. I had over slept so when i arrived there was a long queue at the door and they weren't letting people in because it was too full. I have connections so Chels came and got me and I queue jumped everyone (sorry Dan).
It was a great night to be in the house because 2 of the Canadian athletes had won bronze medals the day before and it was presentation night for them! I am not so good at the Canadian national anthem but if I keep hanging around these guys I might just get to know a few words. Chels couldn't stay for long so very quickly it was time for her to leave, we hung around and mingled and in a place where every 10th person is an Olympic athlete it is a good place to be.
At about 11 pm we decided it was food o'clock so we went on a journey to find brick lane, this is a street that serves only Indian and every restaraunt has a bargainer out the front. We got 2 free beers each, free Pampalons and 25% off our meal(thanks Dan and Kelly, it is nice to have some local knowledge). All up 11£ each for dinner is very very cheap!!!
