Today we decided to start using our 3 day London pass! We decided to head to St Paul's Cathedral first, it is an amazing place it was humongous the dome at the top is huge. We climbed to the whispering chamber up under the dome and then up really tight hallways and stairways the whole way to the top of the cathedral! The views were amazing and luckily it wasn't raining. No photos in the cathedral so I could only get a couple of sneaky ones. Under the main floor is the crypt where all of the dead bodies are kept, it is a bit gross thinking about these bodies in coffins in the hallways, I don't get it why not burry them like everyone else?
We then went to ye olde Chesshire cheese for lunch! It was a cool little pub where many famous people have been, it has many layers underground of eating halls. I had a quiche, apparently real men don't eat quiche!
After lunch we walked to the tower of London, this place was amazing it holds a lot of the royal family's artifacts such as everyone's armor, scepters and the royal jewels! It is a castle that has been around for 1000s of years right in the center of London and I guess was a hide out for the royals if they were under attack! The royal jewels were amazing they were so sparkly and the size of a couple of the diamonds is unbelievable!
It was Shelley's birthday today so we headed out for dinner with Chels at a restaraunt in the mall. The food was good and it was a nice catch up but all too soon it was time for Chels to go and time for us to head back home, after one more drink of course.
