Today was a very special day I got to see my beautiful Chelsea for the first time in 3 months! It was great to finally see her and to know that everything still feels the same between us even with this length of time apart. In saying that though we met with the Aubry's at the mall next to all of the arena's and it was packed, i mean packed I don't think I have been anywhere this busy in my life. So we sat back had a chat at Starbucks, got our gifts, thank you Nike, and then 30 minutes to an hour later Chels had to go. It was great to see her and now I am ready to cheer her on, in her olympic campaign!
After leaving Chelsea we headed to the Canada house located in trafalgar square, this is a special canadian area where the only people allowed in are restricted people nominated by the athletes. It is a great place 24/7 happy hour and nibbles and tv screens to watch all of the Canadians compete! Whilst there we had a 'high tea' and listened to a couple of speeches dedicated to the mums of the athletes and all of the hard yards they have done!
After spending a decent amount of time here we decided to explore the city a bit further by heading to some bars and seeing the sites, good fun afternoon we went to a very neat wine bar that was underground and you had to bend yourself in half to walk because the arched roof was so low. We then headed home at about 10 as I felt I was going to pass out, it is now 4 in the morning and I am wide awake! Jet lag sucks!
