Today was game 4 day and really was a must win against brazil. The girls came out firing and made a handy lead of about 15 by halftime, but then brazil hit back they put a lot of pressure on Canada and eventually got a couple of points in front. But the cool heads of canada got them back in the game and by the final siren they had got several points in front! This is the first time Chelsea has beaten brazil so Canada has not beaten brazil for at least 10 years! This win also puts the girls through to the next round and one step closer to absolute glory!!!

It was the first day of track and field so the crowds were massive, it means there is a crossover of 100000 people leaving the athletics stadium and another 100000 going in just for the athletics! After the victory we went to the champagne and seafood bar to celebrate with all the other Canadian parents and relatives, it is funny I am getting to know all these other parents and boyfriends/husbands but I still don't really know the players as they are not allowed out very often!

We met up with Chels for a quick hello which was nice, watching Chelsea on the court and then off the court you can really sense why she is a captain. On the court she is very much the encourager for everyone and then off the court she does not let anything get to her head. I mean she is at the Olympics as a captain, just had a win and is now moving through to the next round and straight after the game her first thoughts are to come out and chat to her family. Very good qualities indeed.

We went back to the Canada house and watched 2 silver medal celebrations, both for rowing. Steph and virg are leaving us tomorrow so we went out and had some pizza and a good bye celebration! It was great for 2 of Chels closest friends to come over and watch the games and support her, I will miss these guys they were a great lot of fun and always has some sort of shinanigans going on!

Great work today Chelsea! I am very proud :)
