Finally my mum is in town and I could not be happier!

Me and Rikard went to the airport to pick up my mum at 16:05 with our own made sign.

Tears started dripping and laughter could be heard. Finally I could give my lovely mum the long-missed hug after six weeks. However, the weather did not greet here in the best of way. It was raining, snowing and blowing all in the same time and Edinburgh did not show itself from its best side. But we came home safely after we had been running after the bus and at home a suprise was waiting for my mum, Valentine CUPCAKES!! (Which were delicious!)

Friday night was very relaxed were Rikard made dinner before he went to work at the casino and me and mum watched Bridget Jones Diary.

Saturday morning the girls went to town and let Rikard had some well-earned sleep (he came home five in the morning) and went to Princes Street for some serious shopping. Our first stop was of course PRIMARK - and yes dad, it was only neccessary things we bought - which was followed by Boots and a cup of coffee at Starbucks with an overlook by the castle. Rikard then joined us for some pillow-search before we went home for some lunch. The weather had finally changed and the sun shine over the neighbouring hills. Therefore we decided that we would climb the nearest one. It was sooooo windy but I think my mum liked it a lot.

Afterwards we went for a stroll in Holyrood Park were Rikard jumped around before we went home to have some change of clothes before dinner. At night we went to Bella Italia for some pasta and afterwards we walked up the royal mile to show mum the lighted castle. At home, we started watching Brave with Scotlands own Disney princess Merida.

Today we woke up early for our tour! The weather was perfect and we strolled in Old Town to hear about all the stories about Scotland. I think mum really liked it and during the break we went to Mary´s Milk to try some hot white chocolate with cardemum. D E L I C I O U S !

Right now Rikard is at work and me and my mum will have a girl´s night, I am so happy right now!
