Much has happened the previous days. Thursday we thought we would try to find Fish'n'Chips with Chippie Sauce which is very typical for Edinburgh (the say). So the adventurers including me, Rikard, Julia, Menno, Matthijs, Kees and Galadriel went around the city to find the famous Chippie Sauce. It was harder then we thought it would be. After finding a place that had it but did not have any seating we decided after an hour to skip the Chippie and eat ordinary fish'n'chips! Amazing as always. Afterwards we went to a pub or a whiskey bar and planned what we have to do during our stay here. During Thursday I went shopping too, at the beloved PRIMARK! Poor poor wallet but happy happy me!
Friday we did not do anyhing, it was raining and we tried to find out for ourselves what our priorities are during our stay. What we want to do and what we could skip. We have now made a list and we will try to show our guest as much as we can of it.
Saturday there was much more action. Rikard had another interview at a cinema called Vue at the shopping center Ocean Terminal near the harbour. While he was at the interview I went window-shopping in the center, much to see, too much maybe. But Rikard felt that the interview went well and afterwards we went to the Tesco Supermarket to buy some groceries and Rikard's beer from Brew Dog.
The 25th of January is not just a dull january day but it is actually an important day for the Scotts. This day celebrate a Scottish poet called Robert Burns who lived during the 18th century. To celebrate his birthday the Scotts eat haggis, tatties and neeps and dance Ceilidh (pronounced Kelliii) So what is Ceilidh? We thought we had to try out so I met up with Julia, Menno, Matthijs, Kees and Galadriel at Three Sisters were we would have the opportunity to try it. And it was sooo much fun!! Its much like polka but more jumping and "Jiiihaaaah"s in the act. We danced for two hours and if I was sweaty is a real understatement but we had a lot of fun, you definitely have to try it! You can see when I tried to film it (this was a calm version) so you can see what it is. http://blogs.kilroy.se/rpresley/videos/36277
