Today we took our guided tour of the vatican. We had planned on doing that the entire day and we are glad that we did because we were there for at least 5 hours. We started off the tour following a guide through the museum and then into Saint Peters. It was absolutely beautiful. After our tour was over we had the rest of the day to walk around the vatican so we decided to climb the dome at the top of the church. It was really exciting to be at the top of the dome looking down at everyone else in the church (500 steps to the top of the dome). After we climbed to the top of the dome we walked around on the roof a little bit to see the view of Rome, we even found a restraunt and a gift shop on the top of Saint Peters. After we finished with our vatican tour we left and got back on the 110 bus tour and rode it back to the main corso so we could do a little bit of shopping on the Corso before we grabbed a light dinner and packed before we left Rome and headed towards Orvieto and onto Florence.
